Be more confident...
Good evening beautiful people!
I have been considering the concept of virtues over the past few days. What are generally considered to be virtues changes depending on the culture you live in or the religion you have faith in. What do you personally consider to be virtues and which ones do you have or do you aim to practise?
Specifically today I am interested in those virtues which by some people, could be seen as a weakness or a sign of vulnerability. Gentleness, patience, remaining calm and humility are all aspects of behaviour which we may see in others, and unconsciously seek to take advantage of. We may perceive them as weak.
Alternatively, others may see these virtues in you and it feels to you, that they dismiss your needs and actions because you are not assertive or loud enough. Truly it is the perception of these virtues that we must change.
In terms of interacting with others we should take care to notice each other, to make room for everyone, to allow others to shine. There is no need to push, to talk over others, to rush all the time, just to make sure you are noticed. You are unique. What you have to offer is unique and there is room for all of us unique beings to shine.
If you are practising gentleness, patience, remaining calm and humility, wonderful! But know you can be assertive and kind, patient and take action, remain calm but speak your truth and be humble whilst knowing and reflecting your own value.
Virtues are strong. Be proud of yourself without fearing you will become arrogant. Know you are good enough without having to push others out of the way.
Wishing you a day full of self-love!
I love you, humanity
