I get it. You rush around all day, you watch what you eat (generally), you make your gym sessions, you sleep enough (most nights) and avoid drinking too much; so you look after yourself as much as the next person. You feed your body, clothe it, exercise it and use it; you are taking care of your body. Aren’t you?
Many of us take care of our body in terms of food, exercise and sleep, within the parameters of our busy lives. But we may not be connecting with our body. There is a difference. When you really connect with your body on an emotional level, you will feel an overwhelming sense of self-love.
You will not notice the physical imperfections or be frustrated by the limitations. You feel complete love. Connecting with your body is different to merely taking care of it. It is a spiritual experience.
Connecting with your body is an exercise in mindfulness whilst bringing peace into your physical body. That is not to say that the process of reconnecting should be a slow, meditative experience. You can connect whilst running just as well as in a yoga class. It is traditionally something associated with activities such as yoga and of course, yoga is a great way to feel a deep connection to your body. But you can experience the same deep love for your body by having a bubbly bath or dancing or swimming or sitting on a park bench.
The key to feeling complete love for, and connecting with your body, is to be absolutely present in the moment and notice what your body is doing and the sensations you are experiencing. When you are consciously being in the now with that level of focus, you will feel a deep sense of pure love. You will remember what your body really needs & wants and be able to set the intention to live, fulfilling these needs.
I wish you a profound self-connection experience today,
I love you, humanity,
Love, Eve
