Find love...
I am commuting to London this weekend to teach the Game of Life ThetaHealing® practitioner seminar to a lovely group of students, and I have been reminded of the wonderful network of humanity to which we belong and how all the short, sweet day to day interactions that we have with people, keep all of us alight. We are all little sparks of energy and how we interact with each other has a huge effect on us and the other person.
The lead actor from the latest film about to be released in the UK, ‘’ A Street Cat Named Bob’, lived homeless for a week to get into his role, and he said the most significant feeling for him was of being invisible to others. Hour after hour, people walked past him, ignoring him and the feeling of being so unimportant that you are invisible to others was far more disturbing than the cold and hunger he was also feeling. Making others feel noticed and important, even for a short interaction will help them feel special, wanted and alive. If you shine your light when you meet others you can help them burn a little brighter too, until all of us humans can be alight and shiny! Smile, be cheerful, polite, friendly, attentive, kind and patient.
Where does the commuting come into this? Well, I have been travelling on some packed, very early morning and late night trains for a few days now, and without exception, every ticket collector, trolley steward and conductor on the South Western trains that I have crossed paths with has been cheerful, kind, thoughtful and warm to me and everyone else in the carriages. So thank you to the ticket collector on the early morning train that cheerfully wishes everyone a good morning, but not too loudly that he wakes up the sleepier passengers; he gently moves their arms to check their tickets which they have left out on the table to be checked. Thank you to the trolley steward who when seeing me wrestle with ‘the sugar or no sugar this morning argument’ gave me some packets anyway, ‘ I know you said didn’t want any, love, but just in case you change your mind.’ Is she psychic too? And, thank you to the conductor who swinging her way down a very busy evening train, stopped to ask a young business man if her was alright as he looked like he had a headache. He politely answered that he was just really tired and would probable nod off, so she offered to come back as his stop approached in order to ensure he woke up and disembarked. Is this a train company staff full of healers? Or is this just my witnessing how all of us, this amazing network of humanity, should treat each other every day?
Whose light are you going to keep shining today?
I love you, humanity
Eve x
