In my line of work as a life mentor and healer, I use ideas from everyone and everything around me, to create my courses, books, blogs and programmes, and today I had one of the simplest yet most profound inspirations. In the changing room at my gym, I had locked myself out of my locker. (Cutting a long story short, the numbers on the mechanism of these cubicles are really small, so I usually just swivel one or two notches of one of the dials, and reverse the action when I have finished my session, to release the latch and retrieve my things. This saves me carrying my glasses into the gym or pool. So, this time, my plan was foiled; probably because someone moved the dials when checking to see if the locker was free.)
Very quickly a lovely lady, Martha, came chuckling along with a master key and opened the door. When she realised how I came to be in that predicament, she laughed uproariously, and as she walked away, she said, ‘Why you not taking your eyes everywhere? You can’t walk without your eyes!’
Inspiration flash! Obviously, she was talking about my glasses and to be honest I can see most things without them except small print, but it is inconvenient if I go out and about without them. (Why do I do it?) But my mind went immediately to two further aspects: to being in the moment, seeing what is around you at any given time, and to seeing through situations intuitively to what is really happening or being said.
To me, all three of those types of ‘seeing’ are necessary to my day to day life. I can’t walk without my eyes and nor can you. My message of love for you today is to take your eyes everywhere; see clearly, be mindful in the moment and trust your intuition to see a bigger picture in every situation.
Deep gratitude to Martha for the inspiration, and deep love for all you.
I love you, humanity
