Most of us aim to improve our lives in one way or another and many of us take action to do so. Physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually we ‘work’ hard to improve ourselves and our situation.
There are millions of us lovely humans beavering away, working on ourselves, clearing ourselves, finding blocks to moving forward and healing ourselves from past traumas. It can be really exhausting and sometimes does not yield the results we want, when we want them. So, then we start thinking, ‘What’s the point?’
Do you recognise yourself, here?
In my work as a life mentor, I see and hear my clients saying things like this every day:‘But I have worked on this!’
‘I tried this last time!’
‘What’s the point of being positive when nothing is really working?’
‘I’m not getting where I want to be!’
Recognise yourself in any of those comments? I do; I can remember feeling like this sometimes. We all get despondent along the way at some point. Sometimes it feels like it’s two steps forward and one step backwards, or four steps forward and five steps backwards!
Here’s the point!
BUT, take heart, because there is a point! Every single day you feel positive, or you go to the gym, or you heal a past trauma, or you have a great idea, you are moving forward! Every healthy eating choice, every block you clear, every negative feeling you release, you are taking a step towards your best self. Miracles are everywhere and punctuate your life; just allow yourself to notice.
You may not notice it from one day to the next, but you’ll look back after a year, or five years, or ten years and you’ll see your transformation. Some areas of your life may be unrecognisable whilst others may seem more stagnated; but you are exactly where you should be.
There is peace in self-acceptance and self-love.
The wisdom of knowing what you can change easily, and what may take a little more time. Self-forgiveness, and motivating yourself with love and kindness will allow you to improve your life without stress or self-criticism.
Wouldn’t you like to know what it feels like to recognise and value your achievements one step at a time without feeling despondent?
What is the point? You are!
Sending you love, today. I love you, humanity.
Love, Eve
